Global Free Throw World Record Challenge
Take a Shot at Peace
The Titan Athletics Co. invites student-athletes, families, coaches, schools, AAU programs, and community leaders to one shared basketball moment: players around the world stepping to the free throw line together, preparing with ShotBuddy Lite, and recording participation through a simple, mission-driven challenge.
You do not need to be a professional player. You need a hoop, a ball, the current ShotBuddy Lite app, and the courage to take your routine seriously when the countdown begins.
August 08 Launch
The 2026 special launch creates a focused global start for the Free Throw World Record Challenge and gives early participants a clear date for preparation, testing, and community outreach.
December 20 Southern Hemisphere
A recognized Southern Hemisphere community date helps athletes participate when weather, school calendars, and local seasons make a late-year court gathering more realistic.
June 20 Annual Event
After the one-time 08/08 launch, the annual Northern Hemisphere event is planned to return to June 20, creating a dependable rhythm for teams and families.
Open to Many Skill Levels
Participation matters more than reputation. Young athletes, experienced players, coaches, and supportive adults can all bring energy to the line.
Required App ShotBuddy Lite
The current ShotBuddy Lite app is the Track pillar and helps standardize preparation, activity logging, and event reporting.
Mission Empowering Student-Athletes Everywhere
Every challenge update connects back to affordable basketball training technology, coaching resources, and long-term player development.
How It Works
The challenge is designed to be simple enough for a driveway and organized enough for a school gym. Register first so Titan Athletics can send timing updates, reporting instructions, and final rule reminders before event day.
- Register for the event and watch for confirmation from ShotBuddy@TitanAthletics.Co.
- Download ShotBuddy Lite before challenge day, then practice logging shots during normal workouts.
- Confirm your court, internet connection, app version, supervision needs, and local safety requirements.
- Step to the line inside the official event window, take your shot, and complete the final reporting steps.
Timing, reporting, and verification details may change as the rules and ShotBuddy Lite improve. Registered participants should treat official emails and the rules page as the final source.
Why Join
A free throw is quiet, personal, and honest. That is why it works. Every participant brings a routine, a breath, and a chance to connect basketball with peace, discipline, and belonging.
Make History With Thousands
Share one court-sized moment with athletes from different neighborhoods, countries, and generations. If your first shot drops, it becomes a memory tied to something bigger than a score.
Train With Purpose
A clear date gives practice direction. Parents can rebound, coaches can organize routines, and teammates can encourage better fundamentals under friendly pressure.
Support Access for Athletes
Participation helps Titan Athletics test practical tools for real players, including athletes who need affordable ways to track improvement outside expensive programs.
Build Community Confidence
Schools, teams, churches, recreation centers, and families can use the challenge as a positive gathering point that celebrates effort, mentorship, and courage.
Offerings That Support the Challenge
The Free Throw World Record Challenge is supported by Titan Athletics’ Train, Track, and Analyze ecosystem. Each offering has a practical role in helping athletes prepare, measure progress, and grow with confidence.
Dumb Waiter Drills
The Train pillar provides repeatable skill work for footwork, touch, balance, and confidence in gyms, driveways, or team practices.
ShotBuddy Lite
The Track pillar is required for participation and helps players log makes, misses, percentages, and shooting history while preparing for challenge day.
ShotAnalyzer
The Analyze pillar is currently in development and is being built to turn shot information into clearer insights for athletes, parents, and coaches.
Community Challenge Updates
Registered participants receive event messages, rule updates, and timing reminders that keep families, teams, schools, and organizations aligned as the countdown approaches.
Train With ShotBuddy
Your Phone, Your Court, Your Stats.
ShotBuddy Lite helps athletes monitor shooting activity without breaking their rhythm. With a simple runner’s armband and gesture controls, players can Shoot and Tap as they record workouts and prepare for the free throw moment.
For parents and coaches, the app creates a shared language around effort. Instead of guessing whether a player is improving, families can look at makes, misses, percentages, and history over time.
The goal is not to replace coaching. The goal is to make practice more visible, more affordable, and more useful for student-athletes who are learning how disciplined repetition builds confidence.
Rules and Verification
ShotBuddy Lite is required for participation. Attempts made without the app, outside the official event window, or outside the final rules may not count. The app helps organizers compile standardized shot tracking results.
Before challenge day, read the rules carefully, check your app version, confirm your internet connection, and make sure your court is safe. Coaches and parents should help younger athletes understand the countdown and shot procedure.
Rules, prizes, dates, and verification details will be shared as they are confirmed because trust matters. This overview is not the final rulebook. Use the rules page for the latest official guidance.
